The Hollycombe Steam Rally has returned once again at the Hollycombe Steam In The Country Museum. In this event coverage I look at a great display of Miniature Traction Engines, Full Size Traction Engines, Steam Rollers and Steam Wagons driving around the site hauling different loads on wagons. We then take a look at the different types of Portable Steam Engines around the Museum after that we look at the Road Making Display using a Rock Crusher powered by a Portable Steam Engine with an Aveling and Porter DX 5 Diesel Roller being used to compact the road surface. We then move onto the Farming area where we look at how Steam Engines were used with different types of machinery on the farm in the Steam Workshop and have a look at a few Stationary Engines powering different appliances. Finally we move onto the Steam Powered Saw Bench being used to cut logs of wood.

Overall a great show in memory of Robert Bance who loved all things steam from full size engines down to miniatures in previous years I had spoken to him about his miniature traction engines and models he would display by the steam farm a proper steam enthusiast who loved talking about anything steam.
