Hello The Way We Wore Fans,

First in this episode we wanted to address the unfortunate incident of the store breakin that took place on 5/305/31. While the incident is traumatizing we as a team will rebuild and continue to feed and nourish our client's, follower's, and subscribers appetite for vintage fashion. We stand in support of the protests and do not want this incident to overshadow the message of Black Lives Matter. As a business The Way We Wore welcomes all who desire to dress in their own unique way.

Please read this excerpt of our Mission Statement written by our amazing store manager Sarah Bergman:

We deal in fantasy and inspiration. We exist to draw attention to vintage clothing as art, as a sustainable commodity and as a gateway to place of love and acceptance to every tribe and every creed.

We appreciate and serve all who come to us in peace and with good intentions. We strive to uplift and encourage all to be brave and express their true selves. We are committed to helping those who desire to climb higher to achieve a wholeness of being so that your outsides more closely resemble your insides.

This is who we are and what we do. This is our contribution to healing a sad planet. Let us dress your world.

We thank you for being a part of our community, and to continue our discussion on vintage fashion we will be discussing the works of Gilbert Adrian, reknown Hollywood costume designer who worked on over 200 films. His costumes were such an asset to MGM Forbes magazine listed Adrian as one of the top assets of the studio. In 1941 he began designing a clothing line for luxury retailers, where his power suits became the style of the decade. His designs have influenced many designers Alaia, Thierry Mugler, Donna Karan, Claude Montana, and more. We hope you enjoy this episode on Adrian and his works of geometric couture.
