We recently lost the magnificent Gena Rowlands, an actress who was once described by Tennessee Williams as being like a work of art that “you place yourself in front of as if they were paintings in a museum, or sunsets, or mountains, or lovers walking slowly away from you.”

Her marriage to John Cassavetes was the catalyst for one of the most fertile artistic partnerships in American film history. The 35 years she lived after his passing were just as brilliant as their time together.

For those wondering how Andy Warhol was able to interview Gena five years after his death, Warhol devised a set of six questions to be posed to all interviewees in the legendary Interview magazine, with each question shown as being asked by 'Andy Warhol' on the page a tradition that continued until the magazine's sad closure in 2018.
