This is a firstedition 1970s/80s era plastic, zamak, and brass HOn3 Model Die Casting/Roundhouse outsideframed 280 kit. Most of us HOn3 modelers have built one of these at some point, but I was curious as to whether I could bring one up to date such that it'd be at home around my Blackstone and brass engines with DCC and sound. I'm pretty happy with how this came out. It's not the smoothest engine I own by a long shot, but it runs better than the first one I built 30 years ago!
