On Sunday, June 5, 2022, at approximately 1943 hrs. I observed a motorcycle driving recklessly in and out of traffic northbound on I75/85 near Langford Parkway. I initiated my lights and sirens for the purpose of a traffic stop. The driver of the motorcycle disregarded the emergency blue lights and sirens. The driver initiated a highspeed pursuit. The driver of the motorcycle was driving extremely recklessly exiting onto I20 westbound. The pursuit continued west until the driver exited onto Lee Street, traveling north. The driver made another right onto Oak Street traveling the wrong way. Georgia State Patrol Trooper TFC Freeman badge # 487 joined the pursuit as the driver enter the West End Mall parking lot. The driver continued fleeing through the parking lot of the mall turning left onto Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard. He then turned onto Lee Street and exited back onto I20 Eastbound. He continued driving recklessly, weaving in and out of traffic, and at high rates of speed. I lost contact with the pursuit at Flat Shoals Road. TFC Freeman continued the pursuit eastbound on I20 until he ran out of gas near Candler Road. Georgia State Patrol Corporal Smith badge # 793 was able to regain contact with the motorcycle and continued the pursuit eastbound on I20 at Candler Road. The driver was traveling at speeds well over 100 mph while in the HOV lane. The driver exited onto I285 South, continuing to flee. Cpl. Smith closely pursued the motorcycle as the driver exited onto Jonesboro Road, turning right. The driver began to slow down, and Cpl. Smith was able to bring the pursuit to a safe stop. Cpl. Smith placed the driver under arrest as I arrived on the scene. Cpl. Smith turned the driver over to myself and requested a tow truck for the motorcycle. South Metro towing responded and took possession of the motorcycle at approximately 2015 hours. I transported the driver to the Fulton County Jail for booking. The driver was identified by his suspended class CP driver’s license as Alexander Aldridge from Jonesboro, GA. Mr. Aldridge was also wanted for failure to appear out of Clayton County. Mr. Aldridge was charged with fleeing and attempting to elude, reckless driving, suspended license, and expired tag. Scene cleared on Monday, June 6, 2022, approximately 0020 hours
