Catching a pike perch on a jig. One of the most effective ways of catching zander is a jig. Thanks to the ability to hold the bait near the bottom, the spinner has a good chance of a good catch. But regularly returning home with the fish will only happen if you properly equip spinning, match the jigbait to the chosen place of fishing and the correct wiring.

Spinning for jigging For fishing for pike perch on a jig, a rod with a length of 3 to 3.5 m is used. If fishing is conducted on a river with a strong current and considerable depth, the rod should have a test of 2060 g. When fishing on a shallow pond, enough rods with test 540 g.

When selecting a jig head, you should follow a simple rule. Loaded bait should quickly sink to the bottom, without hanging in the water column. The weight of the jighead is selected depending on the size and shape of the bait, the depth of the catch, the strength of the current. So, when catching vibrotailings, you need a head with a mass of 2540 g in a strong current, 1624 g on a river with a mean current, up to 14 g on water with a small current or in standing water. Installation of the bait can be carried out: on a rigid jighead with a builtin hook; on a sinkerCheburash in conjunction with a separate hook; bait on a branch lead with a length of 1 meter, and the sinker is lower in the main line. Each version of the rig has its own advantages and disadvantages, so the fisherman needs to determine his own preferences.
