This specific area of the body is the epicenter of communication, personal expression, and finding one's true voice. Imbalances may manifest as fear of speaking up, frustration, swallowed anger, keeping secrets and stifled creativity.

Energetic blockages in the throat, neck and mouth area can lead to physical problems such as persistent sore throats, tonguelipmouth and jaw issues, thyroid problems, laryngitis, neck pain, loss of voice or inability to speak up for yourself....in extreme cases it can even cause cancer in the throat, neck and mouth area.
