IVs are a hit or miss and today I tried to do everything I could think of to make its placement easy. When you're going in for ostomy related dehydration, it can make it harder for an intravenous catheter to be inserted. Even though it seems counterintuitive, I continue to drink electrolytes prior to ensure I am as hydrated as possible!
