In the House of the Dragon season 2 episode 8, which is the season 2 finale, Rhaenyra Targaryen and Daemon Targaryen, with their dragons Syrax and Caraxes, along with many other dragons and dragonriders, and joined by Corlys Velaryon’s forces from the sea, will take King’s Landing from King Aegon Targaryen and the Greens. Daemon and Rhaenyra will first reunite at Harrenhal when Rhaenyra flies there and then they will leave to attack and take King’s Landing together.

In season 2 episode 8 of the Game of Thrones prequel series, House of the Dragon, we will also see Aemond Targaryen and Criston Cole take Harrenhal to find it abandoned, Rhaena Targaryen flying with Sheepstealer, Rhaenyra’s sons traveling towards Pentos while at the same time the Triarchy, the newest ally of the Greens, is sailing towards Westeros, Corlys Velaryon and his son Alyn sailing towards King’s Landing as part of Rhaenyra’s army, Larys smuggling King Aegon out of King’s Landing before it falls to Queen Rhaenyra, Alicent Hightower leaving the capital and traveling to Dragonstone as a messenger to ask Rhaenyra to split the Seven Kingdoms in two, which Rhaenyra refuses, so Alicent later leaves for Oldtown and Otto Hightower is finally back.
