How and Why to do a Dumbbell Snatch

I like using the dumbbell snatch as a way to develop shoulder stability in a dynamic environment.

The fact that the DB moves so quickly adds a new challenge for the shoulder. That speed requires more body control to start and stop in the right position. If you play overhead sports, like tennis or volleyball, this is a great exercise to build that skill.

Make sure you have great shoulder control with slow movements before working on the dumbbell snatch.
