How to use an ink converter or fountain pen converter is an excellent question! LAMY produces LAMY Safari and LAMY Al Star pens, which are super popular LAMY fountain pens but they also produce the z27 and z28 converters which allow us to use bottled ink.

Ink converters, also known as fountain pen converters, allow us to use almost any ink in our fountain pen no just the branded ink cartridges that LAMY provide for us!

That's right, it's really easy to use any other ink.

This is not just cheaper, it's also better for the environment.

There is, of course, a catch you must make sure the ink you want to use is fountain pen safe we'll discuss this and give a common example of an ink to avoid in this video.
