Did Benjamin Franklin Really Discover Electricity? Well, he wasn't the first to study electricity (see videos #17) BUT he was the first to get to it's true nature. He discovered we are all made of charged particles (that he called positive and negative), and found a way to prove that lightning is electric. Plus he had a lot of fun!
