How Car Suspensions Work | Car Suspension System Explained

There are 4 types of springs currently used in vehicle suspension systems today, coil spring, leaf spring, torsion bar and air spring. Springs are energy storage units. They are good at absorbing the energy, but not good at dissipating the energy. A smooth ride requires both springs and the dampers, the Shock absorber or suspension struts.
