With suspiciously high Ferritin levels, I had to go down the Iron rabbit hole. I’ve come to learn just how important it is and am grateful my resident physician wanted the test. Ferritin levels over 100ng/ml are also associated with inflammation, diabetes, heart disease, and neurological disorders. If there's one test that's an indicator of lifespan, this might be the one to get. Why are we fortifying our foods like cereal with Iron? The more you know, the better, so I hope this helps someone!
