CONCEPT TESTING meaning, definition, and explanation.
CONCEPT TESTING is the process of using qualitative methods ( such as surveys) to evaluate consumer segments' acceptance of a new product idea prior to the introduction of a product to the general market. Do not confuse concept testing with advertising testing, brand testing, and/or packaging testing. Concept testing focuses on the basic product idea which was selected from a number of other concepts generated by the design and development team.
