Once your petition has been approved, the NVC has said your documents look good (documentarily qualified), and the Embassy has scheduled you for your immigrant visa interview, you'll need to get prepared.

You will want to start with the NVC website and the specific embassy or consulate where your interview will take place. Both websites have very helpful checklists containing crucial information. Keep in mind that there are significant differences among consulates. Some require you to deliver your medical exam by hand while others transmit it electronically from the panel physician.
