You may not be ready to snack on crickets, but the whole idea of using insects as food is gaining traction. The UN says eating bugs could boost nutrition and help cut on the amount of land cleared to grow crops and raise livestock. In British Columbia, some are taking a bet on one type of bug, the black soldier fly. People aren't eating it yet, but its larvae are being used to feed animals and fish.
