There is no fair way to compare the two because they are completely distinct categories of riders. Without a doubt, Cavendish is the best sprinter of his generation. From 2008 to 2010 and 2011, he was virtually unbeatable.

Unfortunately for Sagan, we can't say the same about him.
Nonetheless, the opposition he's faced thus far has been considerably tougher than what the British cyclist endured over the course of those three and a half years. If Sagan can maintain his current performance level over the coming years, he will improve his Palmares.
