King Ahab was a biblical king who ruled over the northern kingdom of Israel during the 9th century BC. He was known for his wickedness and disobedience to God's commands. One of his infamous acts was coveting the vineyard of Naboth, a man who refused to sell it to him as it was his family's inheritance. Ahab's wife, Queen Jezebel, plotted to falsely accuse Naboth of blasphemy and have him stoned to death. Ahab then took possession of the vineyard but was confronted and condemned by the prophet Elijah for his actions. The story of Ahab and Naboth's vineyard serves as a cautionary tale about the dangers of greed and corruption.
