Max Dixon, a 16yearold boy, was stabbed to death in Bristol. Dixon's murder highlighted the ongoing problem of knife crime in the UK. Dixon's mother spoke with The Times about the impact her son's death has had on her family.

Police, at the time of the stabbing, said the boy had been attacked by two people wearing masks who then fled on bicycles.

The emergency services had attended the Rawnsley Park area of the city, at about 6pm on Wednesday after reports of a stabbing, Avon and Somerset police said. Medical staff had tried to save the teenager but he was pronounced dead.
