I started learning German in August of 2019 with the CBYX program! I never took classes in high school or online prior to moving to Germany, but with the help of my host family and full immersion in a German gymnasium I picked it up fairly quickly! I really love learning more whether it be vocab or grammar, and I’ve decided to major in German at the University of Virginia. This experience that has just accumulated overtime has changed my life in so many ways, opening up new opportunities for jobs, with Youtube, friends at UVA, and more; I could not be more grateful and I really encourage you to start learning a new language too. You never know where it will take you.

Who am I?
My name is Montana Showalter, and I was a participant in the Congress Bundestag Youth Exchange program in 20192020. I started my Youtube channel while living in Germany and continue to make videos on German vs American culture.
