Sonic The Hedgehog 2 is one of the most iconic games in the Sonic series, and ever since it was originally released on the SEGA Genesis & Mega Drive, the game has seen many rereleases, ports, remasters and more. Sonic 2 has one of the most fascinating histories of any video game, and I go over all of that in this video. This is the rerelease history of Sonic The Hedgehog 2!

Did you know an early build of the game was stolen from the New York Toy Fair in 1992? Or that there were mobile phone releases before the 2013 Retro Engine release? All of this and more is covered today.

In this video, I go over every notable release of the game including its original release, the many ports, mobile releases, and even the many prototype and unfinished beta builds of the game that have leaked over the years.
