How much power does a CPAP use and What size battery should I buy?

I measure the actual power consumption of my DreamStation 2, both with and without heat and humidity so we can figure out how much battery we need to buy.
My CPAP with heat and humidity turned off draws 6.25 watts, that means if I want an 8 hour battery backup (6.25 watts x 8 hours) I would need to buy a 50Wh Battery. If I wanted 5 nights of 8 hours with no heat or humidity (5 night x 50Wh) I would need to look for a 250Wh power station.
My CPAP with heat and humidity turned on draws 60 watts, that means if I want an 8 hour battery backup (60 watts x 8 hours) I would need to buy a 480Wh Battery. If I wanted 5 nights of 8 hours with heat and humidity (5 night x 480Wh) I would need to look for a 2,400Wh power station.
When shopping for battery backups and power stations you start to notice that all the options cost around $1 per Wh and it becomes very clear how expensive it is to buy a battery that will allow you to use heat and humidity on your CPAP for multiple nights.
The other problem is that Batteries in the 12kWh size are hardly portable devices anymore, you might find yourself dragging around something that weighs 4080lbs.
My conclusion on this video is that it isn't worth the cost or the weight to try and backup you CPAP with a battery unless you are looking for a at home Power Station. If you plan to camp you should also plan to not use heat or humidity.
