José and Sara were in the Raval district of Barcelona, discussing safety in the streets. Many of our interviewees shared interesting stories, both unfortunate events and narrow escapes. It seems that learning enough Spanish to ask for a word of advice from locals would be our top tip!

PRODUCED BY:
Easy Languages is an international video project aiming to support people worldwide to learn languages through authentic street interviews and expose the street culture of participating partner countries abroad. Episodes are produced in local languages and contain subtitles in both the original language as well as in English.

Some particular or local words and expressions are marked in the subtitles with an asterisk.*

Subtitle translation: we try to translate our subtitles into English in the most literal way possible, without losing the meaning. While it may not always produce the bestsounding translation, we hope you find this useful as it should reduce the need for a dictionary or grammar book to understand every sentence.

Host of this episode: José Mora Landívar, Sara Delgado
