Featured in the May 2016 issue of Traditional Home Magazine, this 15,000 sq. ft. historic mansion in Michigan underwent a complete renovation, led by CDJA, who oversaw both interior and exterior design. The renovation carefully preserved, replicated, or restored much of the home’s original American Colonial Revivalstyle interior architecture. Drawing inspiration from fashion icons like Elie Saab and Valentino, Jenkins introduced the clients to a blend of bold colors and modern elements set against a traditional backdrop. For instance, a pair of midnightblue Jimmy Choos inspired the sapphire tones of the palette and the kitchen’s La Cornue range. The interiors were revitalized with jewel tones and vibrant colors such as emerald and citron. The principal bedroom features a striking wallcovering, creating a vibrant wonderland of fresh hues.
