In this video I will show how you check some basic diagnostics on your Chromebook. This is helpful in identifying your Chromebook CPU, checking the temp of the CPU, and running a battery discharge test. This information can also be helpful when buying a used Chromebook by asking for the battery cycle count, which will give you an indication of how much the Chromebook has been used.

SHORTCUT TO ACCESS CHROMEBOOK DIAGNOSTICS:
Search + Control + ESC

To search for the CPU Octane score you don't need the full name of the CPU. For example, in my Chromebook in the video all I need to know is "Pentium Silver N5030"

Avoid any Chromebook that has an Octane score below 11k.
A score between 11k and 19k is good enough for your basic needs.
Any CPU with an Octane score of 20k and above is going to feel like a fast Chromebook.
