Glazing is a wood finishing technique in which a layer of stain color is applied over a stained or painted surface. At this year's National Hardware Show, we stopped at the ZAR Wood Stains booth and learned how to update the look of a stained or painted cabinet doors or piece of furniture by applying a glaze finish. You can apply glazing with regular wood stain. You don't need a special glazing product. In this video we show you two techniques. First, how to apply glaze to a cabinet door or molding. Second, how to apply glaze to a flat surface, such as flooring.
