Learn how to apply for federal taxexempt status for your nonprofit. To become a 501c3 organization after you incorporate your nonprofit, you will need to visit the IRS website and learn all of the requirements for applying for taxexempt status. In this video, I provide an overview of the application process, paying special attention to what you need to know BEFORE you apply.
At the end of the video, I walk through the two forms you use to apply: 1023EZ and 1023. Before you apply, make sure you consult an attorney and/or an accountant for assistance.
