How to build a custom dirt bike with a go kart engine | Predator 212cc

In this episode of Jumper Cable Dads, we show how to take a predator 212cc go kart engine and put it into your old dirt bike. This 1994 Honda xr200r dirt bike with a blown up engine and a Harbor Freight Predator 212cc engine in it. It is not a powerhouse, but it is a ton of fun to ride around on. This custom dirt bike that we built is turning out to be such a fun project. Building this Honda dirt bike with a go kart engine is much more enjoyable than buying something brand new, you should get out into your garage and build your own.

Parts: Predator 212cc engine, Amazon torque converter, GoPowerSports engine plate, 1" square tubing, and everything else is stock from the original dirt bike.

We are just two dads that enjoying working in our garages and building fun stuff. What better way to do this than build our own stuff and record it to share our experience with everyone on Youtube on how we build it. We are not professionals, just two dads figuring it out as we go. We both learned to weld from Youtube(well Scott learned in High School) and lots of practice.

If you are enjoying this shared experience of how we built a custom dirt bike with a go kart engine,, then please don't forget to Like, Comment, Share and Subscribe!!

Our other social media is our Instagram, we post a short video on the Jumper Cable Dads Instagram every day around 6:00 PM Eastern Time, please go follow our Instagram to keep up to date with our daily adventures of welding, building, riding any thing from a cross kart, bar stool kart, scrambler dirt bike with a go kart engine, drift trike, go kart trailer, and mini bikes. About us:
We are two dads that enjoy tinkering around in the garage with just about anything with an engine. Neither of us have any professional building experience, but what better way to learn than to share our experience on how we build things with the world. We both have full time jobs and families so we take advantage of any time we can to go in our garages to build.

Scott grew up riding go karts and motorcycles, Scott has rebuilt motorcycles many times, anything from small pit bikes, to motorized bicycles, and full on motorcycles. Scott is the Jumper Cable Dads mechanical mastermind and definitely the better welder of the two of us. Whenever something does not seem to make sense, Scott is always the dad to the rescue with a logical answer.

Thomas grew up riding motorcycles and tinkering with his dad. His family is a long line of gear heads. He has always had a huge interest in building things. Thomas comes from a musical background so he naturally has a creating mind, therefore he is the mind behind all the video editing.

How we met and started Jumper Cable Dads:
A few months before we met, Thomas started building a full size Murray go kart in his garage, as well as two mini bikes for his kids. The day we met, Thomas and Scott were talking about our interests and hobbies and Scott asked Thomas how much he thought it would cost to build a drift trike, Thomas gave a rough estimate based on metal prices and spare parts he had laying around his garage, then he went home and started building one, and sending pictures to Scott, shortly after Scott went over to Thomas's house and they finished a quick build of a drift trike that really became the spark that started our journey of building many more projects. We then started discussing recording everything we build and sharing it with the world. We first started an Instagram and it was obvious that people around the word were enjoying what we were doing. So our first video series was a how to build a bar stool racing kart frame from scratch.

Thank you for joining us on this adventure of building a bar stool racing kart from scratch. Please leave a comment below if you have questions, like what we are doing, or even don't like what we are doing and have a suggestions on how we can do things better. Also don't forget to subscribe and hit the button for notifications to stay up to date on all future projects that we build. We have endless ideas of different projects that we want to build.

Thank you again!
Thomas and Scott
