In this video, I make my first ever attempt at cleaning a dirty, heavily used PS3 controller to see if I can restore it enough to save buying a new controller. This video shows "complete" disassembly as well as the complete reassembly process.

Supposedly, some PS3 controllers are built a little differently, but this video should give you at least the basics and general direction needed to save yourself the expensive cost of replacing a Sony Dualshock3 controller.
