I thought i would make a video of how i converted a 47kg gas bottle (which i read will hold 95 litres) to an extra air tank giving me almost another 100 litres to my system.

When i researched this most of the video's were american and i am in the uk so i wanted to show how it COULD be done in the uk and what fittings i have used to do it.

Also ive added information how i prepared the bottle beforehand, you MUST purge the bottle befire using it! the best way i found to do this is fill it with water and drain it twice. this should purge nearly all the gas thats left in there or atleast to a stage where you cant smell it any more and its no longer dangerous.

Even if you get the gas bottle free you are going to spend about £40 on everything you need fo r the conversion i think its worth it i meam you try to get an air tank this big for that price that has everything you need! i dont think you will find anything close to that unless your extremely lucky i guess and have a friend giving one away.

this bottle will be run upto 115 psi or 8 bar although thhe bottle is rated for higher i think i will stick with what the compressor outputs to be safe but according to the regulator it can take 26 bar not sure if that would be the same for the bottle though! i figure you could probably run 9 or 10 bar in the bottle though but im not going to try that.
