Dom Sigalas shows you how to create ducked delays in Cubase for vocals. He demonstrates the traditional way for ducked delays, using the ping pong delay set to fully wet and creating a wide delay, but using the Cubase compressor and triggering this compressor as a sidechain input so, when there’s sound not present the delays come up and the vocals are not blurred. Dom also shows a different way of adding ducked delays by using the multitap delay to create a really clean delay sound which is even more controllable. Cubase ducked delay creation is effective, fast and can bring a real professional shine to your music production.
