How to Create Hip Power-Proper Walking Technique

This simple exercise will help you feel how to create power from your hips depending on the circumstance. Our glutes (hip extensors) and or iliopsoas (hip flexors) are used at different times to power each step we take. Keeping proper posture and alignment requires using the right muscles at the right time. This is easier said than done, and it is why so many people walk with a forward posture, pelvic tilt, or with duck feet. It also explains why so many people have a heavy heel strike and end up with joint problems that sometimes need medication, injections, or even surgery.
