How to Draw or create realistic textures as part of learning how to draw and drawing basics and fundamentals. This tutorial provides simple but effective tips on creating texture by comparing Pen and Ink with Graphite Pencils and Charcoal.
Each has its unique qualities and limitations and can be used to create an infinite variety of textures to depict many different kinds of surfaces and materials: fur, wood, scales, wool, carpet, hair, rocks, stone, tiles, sponge, etc. Its really up to your imagination :)

Note that the same principles apply whether you are drawing or painting texture or whichever medium you use to create art texture or texture in art.
