You can’t simply stand it on the ground because the wood will get damp and ruined in no time at all. In the past, you’ll probably have suffered the pain and expense of getting concrete laid or grappled with paving stones. You’ve learned your lesson on that one, right? So, let’s get serious and show you how to prepare a garden shed floor base so robust that your neighbours will be begging you to build theirs too.

Materials you will need:

• Tape measure
• Trowel and spade
• Rake
• Spirit level
• long piece of timber (optional)
• Weed killer
• Weed suppressing fabric
• Floorbox Ground Reinforcement Flooring
(Geogrid standard, Geogrid premium or Durapath)
• 10mm Stone (20kg bag per half metre of flooring)
