This crochet baby hat is quick and easy to make. It has a great texture which is achieved by working the Piqué Stitch, which is a special type of cluster stitch.

The hat is offered in three different sizes: newborn, 0 – 3 months and 3 – 6 months. The instructions are the same for all three sizes all you need to do is change the hook size:
Newborn: Use a G (4mm) hook
0 – 3 months: Use a Size 7 (4.5mm) hook
3 – 6 months: Use a H (5mm) hook

The finished measurements for the hat are:
Newborn: W – 6” (15cm) x L – 5” (13cm)
0 – 3 months: W – 6.5 (16cm) x L – 5.5” (14cm)
3 – 6 months: W – 7” (17.5cm) x L – 6” (15cm)

This is an easy crochet tutorial and I’ll show you what to do step by step. You will need to be familiar with the following stitches:
ch(s) chain(s)
dc double crochet
sc single crochet
sk skip
sl st slip stitch
SPcl – special cluster (this is shown step by step in the video)
st(s) stitch(es)
