Amphipods can be cocultured with daphnia, or cultured on their own. Amphipods make a great live food for fish as well as aquatic amphibians. The newly born amphipods are tiny, so small fish and and growing fry can eat them, and the adults are large enough to make a good live food for mediumsized and even some larger fish,
