What is Trigger Finger?
Trigger finger AKA Stenosing tenosynovitis is caused by inflammation of the flexor tendon sheath.

It is a very common condition that is more common in diabetics but can affect anyone that is active with their hands. It is caused by entrapment of the flexor tendons at the level of the A1 pulley which leads to catching and pain of the tendons.

What are some of the symptoms?

Finger clicking
Pain at the palm near where the finger flex
Finger becoming “locked” in a flexed position

What are some of the treatments?

Night Splinting
Activity Modification
AntiInflamatory Medications (NSAIDS)
Steroid Injections
Surgery to release tendons
