In this video, you will learn where to find/download free spaceborne lidar data from the NASA Global Ecosystem Dynamics Investigation (GEDI) Mission. NASA GEDI is a highresolution space borne lidar which will allow you to add a 3rd dimension to your AOI and thereby help you perform structural analysis and more! Level1 and Level2 products are currently available and using these you are able to estimate forest attributes such as canopy height, canopy cover, leaf area index, etc. at a global scale. And in the upcoming videos, I will be breaking down procedures for calculating individual products for specific areas of interest.
