Use this step by step tutorial to draw an axolotl or Mexican walking fish. Watch him eat a juicy worm and find out what costal grooves are.

You can use an HB or F pencil but if you have got sketching pencils, try using the following:
2H and F/HB for lighter shading
2B for mid range shading
4B or even 6B for darkest shading.
I also used a blending stump and a white gelly roll pen for highlights.
