This is how I draw with erasers when using charcoal on canvas. Since this is one of the questions I get all the time, I thought a video would be a good way to provide an answer. Hopefully it does. The technical term for this technique is "subtractive drawing" and it's a ton of fun! You should definitely try it. It's one of my favorite steps in the process.
