How To Fix 'Low Back' Pain - Glute Medius Release and Strengthening

In today's video, I discuss how determine whether your low back pain is related to a joint or a muscle.

If you are currently experiencing low back pain on primarily one side, it may be the result of a sacroiliac joint dysfunction or an irritated glute medius muscle.

In this video, I demonstrate how to palpate the sacroiliac joint and the glute medius muscle. In this way, you can determine which area is irritated and tender. If the glute medius is tender, it is also most likely the cause of your pain.

You can then test the glute medius to see if it's also weak. Most likely it is.

Fixing this issue is a two step approach. First, I demonstrate how to perform fascial release work to the glute medius muscle. Second, I demonstrate 2 exercises to strengthen the glue medius.
