If you’re experiencing issues with the 4K resolution option on your Xbox Series X, there are a few steps you can take to resolve it:
Configure Graphic Settings:
Open the Settings menu on your Xbox.
Navigate to General TV & Display Options Video Modes.
Change the resolution to anything other than 4K@120Hz with VRR.
For example, you can choose 4K@60Hz.
Check the Allow 4K checkbox.
Your screen may briefly turn black and then come back online.
Check TV Compatibility:
Go back to TV & Display Options.
Click on Resolution.
You should now be able to select 4K UHD.
Additional Troubleshooting:
If the issue persists, go to Video Fidelity & Overscan under Advanced settings.
Tap on Override and select HDMI from the dropdown menu. This will reset all your settings.
After that, go back and allow 4K again.
