Start by downloading Praydog’s REframework

Extract the file then put the dinput8.dll into the main folder of RE2 ( or MH, DMC )

Then go to Home ( make sure hidden files are shown by clicking the three dots and making sure hidden files is checked)

Home/local/share/steam/steamapps/compatdata

Find the folder that is the game you want to do this for re2 was 883710.

Click the folder then pfx then user.reg

School down into you see

Software/wine/DllOverrides

At the bottom enter

“dinput8”=“native,builtin”

Save the file then go to game mode and see if it works

Try different builds of proton if you don’t see the menu pop up n
