Getting Thai Permanent Residency is not a simple task as it involves many documents that need to be submitted and need to maintain constant follow up with immigration officer to ensure the application is successful. So if you are interested to apply, prepare to obtain required documents in advance and the followings are necessary documents
1. Minimum Monthly salary of THB80,000 (HR must provide proof in Immigration format)
2. Tax Payment Proof and Receipt for Three years (Certified by Revenue Department)
3. Criminal Record Clearance from Local Police station in Home Country (Notarised, Certified by Embassy, Certified by Ministry of Foreign Affairs)
4. Company Registration, Tax Certificate, Tax Payment Receipts, Salary Statements, etc
5. Recommendation Letter from Ministry of Labour
6. Thai House Registration Book

Although the process is a bit complicated and time consuming, I'd say it's worth going for it if you decide to settle in Thailand for a little while.
