Molly explains how to give an Adequan injection to your dog. Adequan is a prescription medication that is injected into the body. The active ingredient in Adequan®Canine is polysulfated glycosaminoglycan (PSGAG). PSGAG is characterized as a “disease modifying osteoarthritis drug". Injections typically are started twice weekly for several weeks. Then depending on response, the injection frequency is reduced. Please call your veterinarian if you think your pet may benefit from Adequan.
