Mechanical ball winders are all well and good, but what if you don't have one, or what if it isn't practical to use one? In this video, you'll learn how to wind a center pull ball that will allow you use access both yarn tails, and will sit in place regardless of which end you choose to use. A traditional Scandinavian tool called a "nostepinne" is demonstrated, as well as a tool we all have around the house: the standard toilet roll (or paper towel roll).
