Learn how to insert data into SQL table from Excel step by step. In this video I show you how to add and update SQL data from Excel and use Excel to validate data before you insert or update a SQL table from Excel. Although you can use SQL Server to import Excel data as tables into SQL Server, it is not meant to be a userfriendly affordable tool that users can use to review, validate and load data into SQL database. So, the purpose of this video is to show you how to accomplish the latter. I.e. a userfriendly solution to export, validate and import data into a SQL database.

Instead of creating an Excel SQL application based on the AdventureWorks demo database I decided to teach you based on some actual Excel SQL tools that I have created for eautomate. In this video I will provide you with the Excel sample file that I used in this video based on the eautomate customer messages utility that I created several years ago.

I will also provide you a SQL script that contains the two derived eautomate SQL tables and demo data that you can use to install the demo database on your SQL Server and enable you to run the Excel sample files on the same data that I show in the video.
