Cast on an odd number of st) using the longtail cast on (link to that video:    • How to do long tail cast on: Knittyca...  ). For the blue variegated scarf in video, I cast on 27 st with US size 9 needles using one 5.3 oz of Lion Brand Yarns Scarfie yarn.

Set up row: k1, *yf, sl1, yo, k1. Repeat from * until the end.
Row 1: k1, *brk1, yf, sl1. Repeat from * until last 3 st, then brk1, k1.
Row 2: k1, *yf, sl1, brk1. Repeat from * until last 2 st, then yf, sl1, k1.
Repeat rows 1 and 2 until work measures desired length (For the blue scarf, 1 skein provided scarf 4 ft long & 6 in wide. Cast off st once done and weave in ends using a tapestry needle).
