IMPORTANT: Don't forget to knot the yarn at BOTH ends of the blanket (I modeled the ending knot) so that it doesn't unravel in the wash. Also, if you're on Instagram please tag me in your blanket photos or send a picture over via messages! I'd love to see your final product

Still not sure what size to make your blanket? Here are some general sizes that I often use as a starting guide. For a small lap throw or blanket that you just want to display, 30 x 50. For a medium blanket that you plan to curl up with on the couch, 40 x 60 (this is what I typically make). For a Queen sized throw that you want to drape at the end of your bed, 50 x 70.

Wondering how much yarn you should use? For most medium sized blankets I use around 67 bundles of yarn. For Queen sized blankets I've used up to 8 and 1/2. It often depends on how tight or loose you make your loops, but when in doubt, buy more than you need and return what you don't use! You definitely don't want to be stuck with an unfinished blanket if your color of yarn sells out....I've been there. It's sad. And then you get desperate and drive way too far to another Michaels to get more yarn...
